Secure Computing SC Awards

An industry highlight held each year, the coveted SC Awards from Secure Computing magazine is run as separate awards in Europe, the USA and Asia (APac), and is voted upon by the people who really matter in the security products business: customers.

It’s always nice to win awards, but this one holds a special place in most software vendors hearts, because it is the award that says, not only are you meeting your customers needs, they’re willing to spend the time to vote and tell you about it.

Secure Computing magazine has been published since 1989, and has the mission to be the most widely read source for the IT security professional; offering timely news, comprehensive analysis and an extensive collection of reviews of the most cutting edge products. SC Magazine is the most widely read information security magazine, and is also the longest running title of its kind.

avast! antivirus remains the only security software company to have won both the United States AND European categories for best antivirus in the anti-malware category, as well as in the same year winning the European best anti-malware category outright (2006.) We were also named Finalists in the 2007 awards.

When you consider that avast! was up against the industry giants at the same time, it was a proud moment for avast! antivirus, and shows we’re making an impact, because we’re striving hard every day to deliver the best technology solution to our customers.
