Für Windows® 95/98/Me:
486 Prozessor, 32MB RAM und 50MB freier Speicherplatz.

Für Windows® NT® 4.0:
486 Prozessor, 24MB RAM und 50MB freier Speicherplatz. Service Pack 3 (oder höher) ist installiert.

Für Windows® 2000/XP® Workstation (Nicht Server):
Pentium Class Prozessor, 64MB RAM (128MB empfohlen) und 50 MB freier Speicherplatz.

Für Windows® XP® 64-bit Edition:
AMD Athlon64, Opteron oder Intel EM64T-fähiger Pentium 4 / Xeon Prozessor, 128MB RAM (256MB empfohlen) und 50 MB freier Speicherplatz.

Das Programm benötigt ca. 20MB freien Speicherplatz. Der übrige Speicherplatz ist für die Virus-Recovery-Database Datei (VRDB) und ihren Index vorbehalten. Die VRDB entspricht der Integrierten Databasis der vorigen Programmversion.

MS Internet Explorer 4 (oder höher) wird benötigt.

Dieses Produkt kann nicht auf Server-Betriebssystem installiert werden (Windows NT/2000/2003 Server-Serie).

avast! antivirus Professional Edition has received the Gold Malware Treatment Award from the Russian portal Anti-Malware.ru for its ability to detect and remove virus and other malware infections, without causing any damage to the host computer's operating system. In an October 2008 survey of 15 leading antivirus providers, avast! ranked 2nd and was one of only two providers able to remove both of the tested rootkit infections.
