 avast! antivirus has been awarded the highest "Advanced+" rating following tests carried out by AV-Comparatives.

avast! antivirus rated "++" by AV-Test

The independent testing body AV-Test has released the results of a major comparative test of antivirus products, covering detection rates for various types of malware. In the tests, avast! antivirus detected over 99% of all malware types (and more than 98% of adware and spyware) and has therefore  received a "++" rating for its detection rates in on-demand scanning.
