avast! antivirus scanning technology is certified by both ICSA Labs, an industry standard certification process, but also we certify our desktop products with the West Coast Labs Checkmark process.

Each of these certification processes bring something to the mix to allow you, our customers, to know that you are not just purchasing an antivirus solution, but you are purchasing an antivirus solution that meets, and often exceeds, the industry expectation of those products. That expectation, from a certification perspective, is very high indeed.

Industry standardized certification is your proof that we make our products to a known quantifiable and tested standard, which demonstrates our commitment to quality, independently tested by a trusted third party.
