I have run almost every antivirus program out there, yes, even all those that you pay 100 dollars (or more) for a year's worth of coverage. I can assure you that there is not one that even compares to the FREE version of AVAST! It does everything very well, it doesn't eat my resources up like Norton or McAfee, and yet it still works better in protection! I do not understand how any one single program can do so well at protecting all of my computers, yet it has not cost me one single penny. I will not ever use anything else, so long as I have access to this software. It does not get in the way, not even while I am downloading or playing most games. No other antivirus works like this!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the free anti-virus program! I've had this several years on the recommendation of my brother, who worked for a company providing network systems globally, including to U.S. military in Iraq. I am so GRATEFUL!

The reason I stopped paying for Antivirus software (and switched to AVAST) is because I did get quite a few viruses. I am a pretty [rough] internet surfer; meaning I go to a lot of high risk sites (like astalavista type sites). I have had a AVAST for a year and a half. I have not told it anything since my initial setup and config and still haven't had a virus stick. Avast has got this network technician's vote.

We are absolutely delighted with the avast! product. As a small IT consultancy we have been recommending avast! Home edition for home users and avast! Pro for business users for the last 5 years, purely on the basis that it is simple, reliable, effective and has minimal impact on PC resources. It also doesn't "go wrong" like other major antivirus products and require reinstallation. Once installed, it just works.

Avast is by far the very best anti-virus freeware I've come across. At least once a week, Avast picks up suspicious activity on my PC. I work from home, so I need very reliable tools, and Avast is part of my essential tool-kit.

avast! is awesome, from an avid internet user! I am glad someone out there cares about us.

I had AVG for 8 years, now have Avast! for the last year or so. Just love it. Best freeware ever!

I started using the avast! Home edition years ago when it wasn't as well known like it is nowadays. It always gave the computers in my household a great level of protection and let me feel secure. I then upgraded to the Professional version as I wanted to give something back to the avast! team for their great work. I now often use the additional “pro-features” and never regretted buying it. What I really like about avast! is that it is highly customizable, which lets it work exactly like I want it to. I also like that it is lightweight and fast in scanning. All in all I'm simply happy with avast!

Have upgraded to Premium Avast [avast! Internet Security], very impressed with your product.

Just wanted to thank you for a great product. On April 1st, I contracted the "mother of all bugs". I wrestled with it for about a month, trying first one product, then another, but each time, a new problem would occur in my registry. Finally, I read about an avast! recommendation for a similar problem. avast! found the problem on the first pass and restored my system to full functionality. On the blogs I searched, I noted that several highly experienced technicians were recommending your product. Keep up the good work. You are definitely a leader in your field.

I just wanted to tell you what a great product your antivirus is. I own a PC repair shop in my town and avast is the only AV that every customer gets. 99% of the PCs we get have either Norton or Mcaffee and ALL of them are slow pieces of sh*t. We have had only one come in with Avast and it ran super smooth (4 yr old PC running better than 6 month old PCs) all thanks to your incredible product. I back your product 100% and will continue to use and praise it for a looooong time. Thanks!

I've been using avast now for over three years. It's been great and I've been very happy with your product. I especially like the way avast! pre-scans emails before allowing the user to read them. I also like the 'web shield' - which protects against many hostile websites. The built in 'root-kit' scan is great too.

I want you to know, your software has operated wonderfully, and has taken off viruses that kaspersky, avg, and the other big ones could not even touch. Let your programmers know they are doing a great job, I am not easy to impress.

First [avast!] detected and deleted all the viruses in my system, there after it detected many viruses, even a dangerous Trojan and so on, but avast never gives any chance for a single virus to attack my system or files[…] Thanks for your best antivirus.

Your product (Home edition) is easy to understand and use. I feel safer with it then other products. It really runs itself. I would recommend it to anyone, with confidence.
