avast! antivirus Mac Edition system requirements can be found below. The requirements state the minimum requirement to run avast! antivirus Mac Edition on your Mac system.

Intel-based machines:

Any Intel-based Mac, Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger or Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, with 128 MB of RAM (256MB preferred) and 50 MB of free hard disk space.

PowerPC-based machines

PowerPC G3 Mac or higher, Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger or Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, with 128 MB of RAM (256MB preferred) and 50 MB of free hard disk space.

Please note, for the avoidance of doubt: Mac OS X 10.0, 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3 aren't supported, nor is any Mac OS previous to OS X.
