Win32:Sheer

is another trivial mass-mailing Internet worm. It sends itself to every recipient from the Windows Address Book via the default SMTP mail server. The email message has the following characteristics:
Subject:    Fw: Scherzo!
Body:       contains the quite long text in Itailian language which starts with the following:
Con questa mail ti e stata spedita la FortUna; non la fortuna e basta, e neanche la Fortuna con la F maiuscola, ma addirittura la FortUna con la F e la U maiuscole. Qui non badiamo a spese. Da oggi avrai...

This worm does not contain any destructive payload and to remove it just delete the infected file from your computer.

Any avast! with VPS file dated on or after 27th December 2001 is able to detect this worm.
