Following in our tradition of giving, In 2010 we established the AVAST Foundation in order to provide significant support for organizations in the Czech Republic that provide support to those who suffer from poor health or are in some other way disadvantaged, as well as to support the development of culture and education in technical fields. In 2011, we gave a total of 17,244,794 Kč (about $1 million USD) to organizations leading such projects, which included Domov Sue Ryder, Prazsky Studentsky Orchestra, MAMMA HELP, and more.
AVAST Foundation does not fund political parties or campaigns; legislative lobbying; or churches (but some exceptions may be made for religious organizations).
AVAST Foundation may take up to three months to reply to your application and will reply to the same email address which sent the application request to us.
AVAST Foundation reserves the right to reject any and/or all applicants based on its discretion.

AVAST Foundation recognized by Via Bona Award nomination
The VIA BONA Award for Philanthropy is given under the sponsorship of the Embassy of the United States and the prestigious award goes to both individuals and corporations in acknowledgement of their charitable efforts. It annually highlights inspiring examples of donating, points out new trends in philanthropy, and works as a “lighthouse” that guides and inspires all present and potential donors. AVAST Foundation was nominated in the category of large companies for 2012.

The center helps patients with spinal injuries to adapt to a new lifestyle and supports the development of their physical and mental condition to help them return to the independent life under natural conditions. AVAST Foundation contributed to sports programs organized by Centrum Paraple.
The charity operates the Hospice, which helps terminally ill patients and their families. Patients are provided with a complete palliative care and treatment that is aimed at improving their quality of life.
Gaudia proti rakovině is a civic association providing psychotherapy, social services, and support services to patients diagnosed with cancer, as well as support for their loved ones.
ALKA provides care and services to multiple disabled persons and their families. Besides the psychotherapy it includes also the social rehabilitation and self-care training. The Foundation has provided funds for equipment for the special intensive therapy center ADELI.
Dum Tri Prani provides assistance to families with children that are facing many problems, have a temporary crisis, or find themselves in difficult social situations. AVAST Foundation provided operating funds for administrative support facilities.
The hospice offers medical, social, and psychotherapeutic care of terminally ill patients and their families at their homes, so that they can spend the last days of their lives at home with dignity, surrounded by their loved ones.
The organization provides social services to people with mental disabilities and works with them to expand their options through sheltered housing, supported employment, and day service centers.
The organization provides assistance to people with disabilities who want to work and lead a socially active life.
Charter 77 Foundation is the project account through which Bariery has supported thousands of projects since 1992. These projects are aimed at improving handicapped people’s lives and their full participation in society. AVAST Foundation participated in supporting four projects: sports without barriers, assistance to immigrants, personal assistance support, and SENSEN (a program for seniors).
This civic association helps provide a dignified life for people with severe disabilities. They live in houses on barrier-free streets in Prague and surrounding areas.
The organization uses hippotherapy to help children with musculoskeletal disorders and multiple disabilities, in order to improve their mental and physical development.

Rozmar is restaurant in Prague operated by non-profit organization Rosemary, which is the first social firm in the Czech Republic set up to employ young people upon their leaving an orphanage.
The association was founded to help children and young people not only in difficult situations, but also with their everyday worries and problems. AVAST Foundation contributed to the operation of the organization.
The organization helps disabled people toward self-sufficiency and teaches them how to assert themselves in the labor market. AVAST Foundation contributed to the provision of project documentation for a building permit for the Centre Monastery, which will become a center of comprehensive services for persons with disabilities, as well as seniors and the public, after its reconstruction.
The organization is part of the civic association Náruč (Armful) in Řevnice, which operates a day care center for children and youth. AVAST Foundation contributed to new equipment for the Café.

Inzulínek unites families with diabetic children, mostly from the regions of Olomouc and Zlín. AVAST Foundation contributed to the operation of a summer camp, where children with diabetes – in addition to playful fun – also learn about their disease and its needs, all under the watchful supervision of physicians.
FAKULTNI NEMOCNICE OLOMOUC is a university hospital, dedicated to a full spectrum of patient treatment. With more than 1,400 beds, it is the largest hospital in the region. AVAST Foundation contributed toward monitoring equipment for improving the care of children with acute diabetes.

Matematika s chutí is a project initiated by professionals from the field of pedagogy and mathematics and produced under the auspices of the Institute of Social and Economic analyzis. The goal of this project is the quality and attractiveness in teaching mathematics, with a focus on students in primary schools.
Útulek pro psy Modřany is a dog shelter that, rather than using traditional locked pens, provides a ‘family environment’ to small and non-aggressive dogs.
Středisko vodících psů is part of a united organization for the blind and visually impaired and dedicates itself to education and training of guide dogs for those who are visually impaired.
Stodola is a joint project of an evangelical choir and the company Fokus Vysočina Havlíčkův Brod, aimed at reconstructing an old barn as a therapeutic workshop for mentally ill clients, as well as a creative space for exhibitions and educational programs for the general public.

Caballinus is a civic organization providing hippotherapy, or equine therapy, as part of a long-term rehabilitation strategy for improving the quality of life for disadvantaged children.
Programátorská soutěž is the “Central European Regional Contest” (CERC) for programming, organized by Czech ACM Chapter ICPC.
Hospice Cesta Domu provides professional care for terminally ill patients and ongoing support for their families, and as well contributes to societal changes designed to improve conditions for care.
Oliver Matous Stanislav (individual) was born with severe disabilities, which among other areas affected motor skills, included acid reflux, and required a special diet and cranio-sacral therapy.
ALKA o.p.s. helps people with severe physical disabilities, providing physiotherapy that is linked with social rehabilitation as a daily self-care routine. AVAST Foundation sponsored an intensive-therapy center for immobilized patients.

Klub vozickaru (Wheelchair Club) Petyrkova is a civic association that helps severely disabled people to live in barrier-free houses on Petyrkova Street in Prague, to help them toward living more dignified and fulfilling lives.
Domov Sue Ryder, Praha provides care and support to seniors who are, due to age or illness, dependent on the assistance of others.
Strasnicke divadlo is the only repertory theater in Prague district 10 and thus the only stage for over 110,000 inhabitants. AVAST Foundation contributed to remodeling the theater, including the installation of more comfortable seating.
Trutnov Gymnasium (high school) uses Devin Cottage, in Krkonose National Park, for students’ studies in nature and ecology. AVAST Foundation supported the water treatment plant at the cottage, without which the cottage would have had to close.
Česká hudební splečnost is an institute that produces Czech musical concerts and related endeavors. AVAST Foundation sponsored the 2011 summer camp for young musicians in Litomysl – hometown of 19th Century composer Bedrich Smetana.
Človek v tísni (People In Need) is a humanitarian organization that assists people in crisis and conflicts areas, with its goal to protect human rights globally. AVAST Foundation is participating in the long-term project One World in Schools.
AVAST Foundation also contributed to help provided for famine and drought stricken people in Somalia.
Additionally, AVAST Foundation is participating in a long-term educational project for small farmers and orphans in Ethiopia.
Ochotnické divadlo Jablonský Jindřichův Hradec is an amateur theatre group. AVAST Foundation sponsored a representative tour for Czechs in Ireland, with a photo exhibit at the Czech Embassy in Dublin and cooperation with an Irish teachers and actors club.
