AVAST Foundation

We believe that it’s important to support and help others, which is why Avast has been offering free antivirus software since 2001. Our popular, quality-driven security software is used globally by over 220 million customers.

The foundation side of Avast began its activities in 2010 – a result of the previous philanthropic activities of the two Avast founders, Pavel Baudis and Eduard Kucera. Because of the company’s achievements, they now dedicate a generous 2.5% of company profits to support important humanitarian projects in the Czech Republic. Their wives, Jarmila Baudisova and Milada Kucerova, have played an important part in their road to success; they started the foundation together and still work together to help thousands of people in need. The foundation is also the result of the hard work of just under 300 Avast employees.

We have supported non-profit organizations with over 80 million Czech crowns since the beginning of 2011.

Long-time partners

We have selected particular organizations to become our long time partners, because we feel like their work is close to our message, because we trust them, and because we follow the results of their activities. We care about whom and how we are helping, so we are listening to the true needs of each organization. We also understand that, sometimes, the most important thing is to support their everyday operations, and that both entities can benefit from such strong partnership.
