Prague, Czech Republic - 17th March 2008 - for immediate release – ALWIL Software a.s. is pleased to announce the release of avast! Anti-rootkit Edition, a free-for-use anti-rootkit product for Microsoft Windows.
avast! Anti-rootkit implements the class-leading GMER technology, and adds live-system anti-rootkit protection to the avast! product line. avast! Anti-rootkit Edition requires no boot-disks or other user intervention, just a simple download and run approach to PC security that avast! has been pioneering for almost twenty years.
The product is a standalone anti-rootkit solution, but will also be built-in to the soon-to-be-launched avast! 4.8 antivirus product line.
