Invex'92

was our first "funny" Invex show (before we just have had normal stands). Invex is the biggest fair in the central Europe nowadays. Our idea was to protect data in military style :-)

Eicar'92

this EICAR conference was held in Munich, Germany in December 1992. The best evening was held in Hackerkeller pub with very good german beer!

CeBIT'93

was our very first CeBIT (the biggest computer show in Hannover, Germany). We were based in the new Hall 2.

Virus Bulletin'93

in Amsterodam was in great style. It was actually my first VB conference and one of the best!

Invex'93

Virus Bulletin'94

was held on the beautiful island of Jersey. The Black Tie dinner was again very interesting with many black hats (and black glasses which were difficult to use :-) )

Invex'94

was big success. We have the old castle with knights and old "round" table.

Virus Bulletin'95

in Boston was great! Interesting papers, many exhibitors, plenty of time to meet and have a talk with other people.

Invex'95

is the biggest computer fair in Czech republic. We have very unusual booth there every year. Last year it was the pit of RAS - Fast Antivirus Service with fast cars and many other items. It was great fun!

Eicar'95

this conference was held in Zurich, Switzerland. Another chance for virus related and general chats and for beer drinking!

CeBIT'96

again another fair, this time the biggest computer show on the world...

IVPC'96

was held in Washington DC. Again, many beers, talks and sleepless nights.

Virus Bulletin'96

was held in Brighton's Grand Hotel. Again, great time to meet a lot of people and have a lot of wholenight discussions.

Invex'96

the big show again.. This year we have made the special "hospital" for computer viruses. BTW: do you see any computer there? Again, it was great fun!

this conference was held in Linz, Austria. Great fun with a lot of beer and pool table till the morning!

CeBIT'97

Summer'97

was mostly rainy here in Czech republic (even with big floods). We still made several great barbecue parties in our office.

was in San Francisco (it should be here in Prague!). It was really great and successful. Fairmont Hotel is the right place for such conference!

Invex'97

is much more exciting than CeBIT. This year was dedicated to the emperor Rudolf II (he ruled on the beginning of 17 century here). He supported scientists and alchemists...

this EICAR conference was held again in Munich, Germany in March 1998. The most noticeable event were the night calls to Tech Support Departments of several AV companies...

CeBIT'98

was another exciting and successful fair.

IVPC'98

was held in Dolphin hotel in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida.

was held in Munich this time. Most noticeable event was the night sightseeing trip by trams!

was in Chicago this time. Not so much beer but really nice time!

AV Conference in Budweis

this was local Czech antivirus conference in the city of Ceske Budejovice (Budweis). We have had a great time in the most famous local pub (Masne kramy) drinking real Budweiser - not the american one!

Virus Bulletin'99

was held in the beautiful city of Vancouver. The weather was really nice and although the hotel bar was not one of the best, the conference itself was great as usual.

Eicar'2000

this EICAR conference was held in Brussels, Belgium in March 2000. The hotel did not have the modem connection in most of the rooms, so the only way how to get the e-mail was in the lobby. The lines were sometimes quite long! Pictures were taken by Petr Odehnal this time :-)

Virus Bulletin'2000

was held in the warm and friendly Orlando, Florida. Although there was the hurricane season, the weather was quite hot weather and the hotel pool was appreciated by the delegates.

- Other three finalists of the same competition (Jakub Kaminski, Jimmy Kuo, Joe Wells)
- Joe Wells changed the beer for wine (to compare see the picture from VB'95 above)
- Lucky gamblers again (what kind of tradition is this?)
- Palm seems to be very popular among delegates: are they protected against viruses :-) ?

Eicar'2001

was originally announced to be in Bilbao, Spain, but it was finally moved to Munich, Germany. There were not so many people as usual but we still did enjoed it very much. Pictures were taken digitally this time (thanks Miro Trnka for camera and some of the pictures :-)

Virus Bulletin'2001

was finaly held in our home city - wonderfull Prague. I believe that all delegates were keen on the downtown of Prague and its pubs :-). You can find many pictures from the conference here. I have just picked up several of them to make some comments:

Eicar'2002

was held again in Germany, this time in the city of Berlin. Again, you can find many pictures from the conference here. I have just picked up several of them to make some comments:
- Petr Odehnal had big problems with german beer: After some Q&A tests he decided it is safer to drink coke instead but he finally found the original Pilsner Urquell
- conference hotel is in the downtown just beside the TV tower. I've never seen the rooms with glass walled shower and toilet and single two purpose doors!!

- lobby drinks: Larry Bridwell and Randy Abrams, merry Righard Zwienenberg and Costin Raiu
- famous Pergamon and Brandeburger Tor in soccer wrapping
- the bussiness part of the conference: meet the (ESET) experts, listen to Jeanette Jarvis, Randy Abrams and Urs Gattiker
- the social part of the conference: Tjark Auerbach with Alex Shipp and several conference dinner pictures
- Jindra Kubec drinking GREEN beer
- Miro Trnka has got a new toy - he liked the spy camera most
- the hotel garage has also had special parking lots

MVI Meeting 2002

Virus Bulletin'2002

was held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Although New Orleans and its French Quarter is very nice, the hurricane season is not very good time to visit it. Unfortunately, the tropical storm Isidore came just during the first night and changed arrivals of many delegates and also the Welcome Drink Party can't be held on the classic paddle wheeler as promised. Otherwise, the conference was great as usual! You can find the complete picture set here. Some comments follow:
- ICSA meeting panorama - who is sleeping, who is playing games?
- Isidore strikes: hotel window view, cars in the water around the hotel
- Welcome Drink Party was not on the boat but in the sport bar, but they had the Pilsner Urquell beer there
- While Joe Wells didn't know this, while Igor Daniloff definitely did
- digital cameras were all around this year, I have counted seven of them on our gala dinner table
- Voodoo music was great, followed by even better New Orleans classic jazz band, even the waiters have danced!
- I've never never seen so long lines for free clothing (long awaited VB shirts) in the US
- So what will happen next year?

Infosec 2003

In the very last moment we have decided to exhibit at Infosec in London. It was an interesting experience to see all security and antivirus companies in the single hall! The complete set of pictures is here. I have just picked up several of them to make some comments:

Our previous office

on July 1st 1996 we have moved to the new office. It was very nice and quiet place in the suburb of Prague - in Horni Pocernice. In January 2000 we have moved back to the office building in the Prubezna street. We miss the peace of the previous place and especially the garden!
