How to use Avast Passwords

Avast Passwords is a free application that safely manages login information for online services. You only need to remember one Master Password to log in to multiple services. Login credentials for individual services are stored in the secure password vault.

Adding a new service to Avast Passwords

  1. Tap the Avast Passwords icon to open the app.
  2. Tap the plus icon.
  3. Select a service from the list. If the service you want to add is missing from the list, search for it or tap Add custom to add it.
  4. Type the Name of website, Website adress, Username and Password. Tap the tick icon to confirm. If you selected a service that was already added to the list, you are only asked to provide the Username and Password.
  5. The service is now visible on the list.

Logging in on a website or app with Avast Passwords

Ensure autofill is enabled in your Safari settings to use the autofill feature. Go to Settings → Autofill, tap Activate in Safari and follow the tutorial to complete the process.

To use the autofill overlay, ensure that you enable the Accessibility permission in your Android settings. On some devices, it is also necessary to manually enable the custom keyboard.

  1. Open the service that you want to log in to and tap the share icon.
  2. Tap the key icon to open Avast Passwords.

    Ensure autofill is enabled in your Safari settings to use the autofill feature. Go to Settings → Autofill, tap Activate in Safari and follow the tutorial to complete the process.

    To use the autofill overlay, ensure that you enable the Accessibility permission in your Android settings. On some devices, it is also necessary to manually enable the custom keyboard.

  3. Use your Touch ID or type your Master Password, and tap Unlock to authorize access.
  4. Tap the account for the service.
  5. Your credentials will be filled automatically. Tap Sign in.

  2. Tap your e-mail address shown at the bottom of the page to log in or tap the menu icon to use other options.
