How to export passwords to Mozilla Firefox

This article describes how to export passwords stored in the Avast Passwords vault to the Mozilla Firefox browser.

  1. Open the Avast user interface and go to Settings → Passwords. If prompted, type your Master Password.
  2. Scroll down to the Export passwords section and click Export next to Do you want to export your passwords to Firefox?.
  3. Select a location for the file and provide a name, then click Save.
  4. Open your Mozilla Firefox browser, click on the menu icon in the upper-right corner and select Add-ons.
  5. Type Password Exporter into the search field and click the search icon. Then install the add-on.
  6. Once installed, click the menu icon again and select Options.
  7. Select Security from the left panel and click Import/Export Passwords....
  8. Click Import Passwords on the new screen.
  9. Find and select the previously saved import file and click Open to import your passwords to Mozilla Firefox.
