How to resolve an issue when Avast Mobile Security cannot find your valid Pro license

If your Avast Mobile Security does not detect your valid Pro license and the app displays the License not found message when you try to restore your subscription, follow steps in this article to resolve an issue. This article relate to all versions of Avast Mobile Security.

Follow these steps to connect to a correct Google Account and restore your purchase:

  1. Uninstall Avast Mobile Security from your device.
  2. Tap the Play Store icon on the main screen of your device to open the app.
  3. Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
  4. If the account that you currently logged in was not used during your purchase, follow one of these instructions:
    If you do not remember which account you used for your purchase, go to the Play Store menu and select AccountSubscription to see a list of subscriptions assigned to the currently selected Google Account.
    • Click your current account name or email address to see a full list of accounts. Then tap Google Account that you used during your purchase.
    • If you don't see your correct account listed, follow the steps in the section Switch between accountsSwitch accounts on the Google Play website on a mobile device in this Google Support article:
  5. Install and open Avast Mobile Security, and then accept the End User License Agreement (EULA). Your license should be activated automatically.
  6. If your license was not activated automatically, tap Upgrade on the main screen.
  7. Tap the overflow menu (three dots) icon in the top-right corner and select Restore Purchase.

Avast Mobile Security should be able to detect your subscription now.


If after performing all steps from the instruction above, your app still does not detect your license, join the Avast Android beta program to install the latest beta version of Avast Mobile Security and perform last two steps again.


If the issue still persists, contact Avast Support by following these steps:

  1. Open Avast Mobile Security and tap the menu icon in the top-left corner.
  2. Scroll down and tap Help & Support.
  3. Tap FAQs 5 times.
  4. Provide your email address and the detailed issue description that will be sent to Avast Support for further investigation. Then click Submit to send your message.
    Avast Support representative will contact you as soon as possible.
