Avast 2016: SafeZone Browser - Importing bookmarks from other browsers
How to import bookmarks to SafeZone Browser
SafeZone Browser allows you to import browsing history, bookmarks, cookies and additional browser data from other browsers.
To import browser data from mainstream browsers to SafeZone, follow the Preferred method instructions, or watch the video tutorial at the bottom of this page.
If the import fails or if your preferred browser is not listed, follow the Alternative method instructions to import your browser data using an HTML file.
Manually export bookmarks from a browser into HTML format (if you are not sure how to do this, consult the Help in the browser) and save it in a familiar location.
In SafeZone Browser, click the Settings icon (three dots) and select All settings.
Scroll down to the Default Browser section and click Import bookmarks and settings....
Select Bookmarks HTML file from the dropdown menu.
Click Choose file and open the HTML file you saved as an export.
Select your preferred browser and the items you want to import, then click Import.
Ensure the browser you're importing from is closed during this process.
Click Done when the success dialog appears.
To access your bookmarks, click the Settings icon (three dots) and click Bookmarks.
Select Imported bookmarks from the left panel and double-click your preferred browser's folder. Your bookmarks are located in the sub-folder Bookmarks bar.
To make accessing your bookmarks easier, drag and drop each folder from Imported bookmarks to the Bookmarks bar menu item in the left panel. Your imported bookmark folders then appear below the SafeZone Browser URL bar and are available whenever you open SafeZone Browser.
Watch the video tutorial below for information on how to import data from mainstream browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Opera 15+) and previous versions of SafeZone Browser. If the import fails, or if your preferred browser is not listed, follow the Alternative method instructions in the written steps above.
