It’s attached to the email that led you to this guide.

Open (double-click) the license file
After downloading the file, double-click on it to open it. This will automatically activate your product and that’s it — you’re all set.
Tip: After you’re done, remember to click on the “Go private” button (“Connect” in the standalone version) in the app whenever you want to browse privately.

Activate the product
1. Open Avast SecureLine VPN and hit 
and 
(comma) keys at the same time to open app preferences.
2. Go to the “Account” panel and then click on “Already purchased?”.
3. Now you can choose to activate the product using your Avast Account (if you have one), or entering your activation code instead.
Note: Your activation code has been delivered to you in the confirmation email after the purchase.
Tip: After you’re done, remember to tap on “Connect” in the app whenever you want to browse privately.

Install Avast SecureLine VPN from Play Store
On your phone/tablet, go to Play Store, search for “Avast SecureLine”, and install it. Or just scan this QR code instead:

Pass the introduction
Open Avast SecureLine VPN on your phone/tablet and a short walk-through will be shown. When you reach the last screen of the introduction, choose “Already purchased”.
If you don’t see this screen, just tap on the cogwheel on the main screen to open Settings, and then choose “Subscription”.

Now you can choose to activate the product using your Avast Account (if you have one), or entering your activation code (voucher) instead.
