How to disable Automatic Renewal service for Avast orders distributed by DIGITAL RIVER

This article applies to Avast orders distributed by DIGITAL RIVER. For Avast orders distributed by NEXWAY please read the following article:

There are two methods of cancelling the Automatic renewal service:

  • Preferred method allows you to disable automatic renewal via self-service order portal by using the order details (your order number and password) sent to your e-mail address after your purchase.
  • Alternative method allows you to disable automatic renewal via your Avast Account if you have created the account and connected your Avast product with it. Please note that Avast Account is not created automatically for the e-mail account entered for any purchase.

If your Avast product is connected with your Avast Account, you can use the Alternative method.

  1. Use your Web browser to open the following page on the Avast website:
  2. Type your order number and the password you received by e-mail from our distributor after your Avast purchase, and click find order.
    You can find your order number and password in the order confirmation e-mail you received for your Avast product purchase.
  3. Click Manage subscription next to the Avast product for which you want to cancel the Automatic Renewal service.
  4. Select Off next to Automatic Renewals.
  5. Click Disable automatic renewal to confirm that you want to stop automatic billing.
  6. As soon as the change is processed, an e-mail is sent confirming that the Auto-Renewal Feature Has Been Stopped for the selected product.

    The renewal option is managed separately for each product. If you have more than one Avast product set for Automatic Renewal according to the product list on the Order Details page, repeat the procedure from step (3) for each item.

    If your order is not found, please ensure that you are entering the correct details for your order. Ensure that the order confirmation e-mail you received was issued by DIGITAL RIVER. For Avast orders distributed by NEXWAY please read the following article:
  1. Use your Web browser to open the Avast Account website:
  2. Log in and click Your licenses.
  3. Click Cancel Auto-renewal next to the appropriate license. This option does not appear if you have already cancelled auto-renewal or did not select the auto renewal service during purchase.
  4. The Avast Account is not created automatically for the e-mail account entered for a purchase. If necessary, you can create an Avast Account manually. If you want to use this method and do not see your license on the website, ensure that your Avast product is connected with an Avast Account. If you see your license but there is no option to cancel auto renewal, it means you did not select the auto renewal service during purchase, or that you previously cancelled it.

  5. After reading the information about the Auto-renewal service, click Deactivate Auto-renewal subscription.
  6. As soon as the change is processed, the Cancel Auto-renewal button and the This license has an auto-renewal subscription information disappears.
  7. The renewal option is managed separately for each product. If you have more than one Avast product set for Automatic Renewal, repeat the procedure from step (3) for each item.
