Avast Cleanup: Activation of Avast Cleanup using the Avast Account (for GrimeFighter users)
How to activate Avast Cleanup from the Avast Account
In version 2016 of Avast Antivirus, the Avast GrimeFighter feature is upgraded to Avast Cleanup. If GrimeFighter was activated and your license is still valid, Cleanup is automatically activated when you upgrade.
If you purchased GrimeFighter but did not activate it yet, you can activate Cleanup using your Avast Account.
If you purchased just Avast Cleanup (not Avast GrimeFighter), you may need to activate it using the activation code sent in your order confirmation email. For details, read the following article:
Double-click the desktop icon for your Avast Antivirus software,
...or right-click the Avast orange ball icon in the system tray and select Open Avast user interface.
Go to Scan → Scan for performance issues.
Click Your license in the Cleanup section.
Log in to your Avast Account using the same email address that you entered during your GrimeFighter purchase.
