Children as young as 5 are already online

They spend an average of six hours a day in front of screens, which can impact their sleep schedule and concentration. Avast Omni’s family protection controls let you pause your child’s internet access at any time, or set healthy time limits.
Violence and pornography — and apparently, even children agree. Make the internet safer by blocking access to disturbing sites. Avast Omni gives you complete control over what content your children can and can’t access.
Bullies have found lots of ways to antagonize their victims online. Make sure you talk to your children about how to deal with unpleasant situations, while keeping harassers and strangers at bay by restricting certain social media and chatting apps.
Being unable to get in touch with your child is scary. Especially when 15% of pre-teens say they’ve attempted to meet a stranger they connected with online. Know where your child is thanks to Avast Omni location alerts.
Cyber threats are everywhere
From classic viruses and sophisticated phishing attacks to payment-demanding ransomware, reliable PC security has never been more essential.
Ransomware — A dangerous form of malware that locks you out of your PC and demands a ransom in order to regain access.
Phishing attacks — When hackers trick you into handing over sensitive information by pretending to be a legitimate service or organization.
Viruses and worms — Replicating malicious software that spread throughout your computer to steal personal information and wreak havoc.
Keeping your Mac safe means blocking malware and securing your Wi-Fi connection to protect you from online threats.
Malware — Short for malicious software, malware comes in many different forms, including viruses, spyware, Trojans, and many more.
Unsafe websites — Websites that may contain malware, browser tracking, or that may try to send you emails with malicious attachments.
Unsecured Wi-Fi — Connecting to an unsecured public Wi-Fi network can leave you vulnerable to hackers who want to steal your personal data.
Hackers often target Android devices via Trojans, ransomware, adware, and more.
Trojan downloader — A type of malware that downloads malicious programs onto your device without you knowing.
Locker ransomware — Locks you out of your device and demands a ransom in order to regain access.
Adware — Floods your device’s screen with unwanted advertisements and pop-ups.
Online threats, such as unsecured Wi-Fi, can leave your security and privacy at risk, resulting in stolen passwords and other personal information.
Unsecured Wi-Fi — Connecting to an unsecured public Wi-Fi network can leave you vulnerable to hackers who want to steal your personal data.
Compromised passwords — A compromised password can enable hackers to access your online accounts and steal your personal data.
Online privacy — Going online without encrypting your connection can let third parties see what you’re doing online.

A few things to know before you order

What is Avast Omni?
What features does Avast Omni include?
Avast Omni uses AI and real-time threat detection to protect your home network and all of the devices connected to it against privacy data leakage, malware threats, and device hijacking. The Avast Omni hub connects directly to your router and is managed through the Avast Omni app, which will alert you when a potential threat is detected so that malicious attacks can be shut down before any harm is done.
The Avast Omni app also protects your computers, tablets, and mobiles with our most powerful on-device security software, ensuring that your devices are completely secured against malware and other online threats.
Finally, the Avast Omni app includes parental controls so you can protect your children and help them develop healthy online habits. Block offensive or inappropriate content or apps, set internet time limits, pause the internet temporarily, use geo-location services to check your child’s location and receive alerts when they leave or arrive at specific places (home, school, etc).
How does Avast Omni protect my devices?
Avast Omni gives you three levels of protection for your home and family: home network protection, on-device security, and parental controls. The Avast Omni hub provides protection at the network level (via hardware that connects to your router), while the Avast Omni app provides our most powerful security software for on-device protection on your Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS devices. The Avast Omni app also gives you access to parental controls, so you can protect your children both online and off.
We use artificial intelligence to learn how to detect unusual behavior in your home network and immediately notify you of any malicious activity. By continuously learning the behavior of new devices and processing big data in real-time, Avast Omni provides you with world-class security, privacy, and family protection features.

Will Avast Omni slow down my internet?
How do the parental control and family safety features work?
In the Avast Omni app, a user profile is created for each person in your household and the devices they use are connected to their profile. Each user profile is tagged as either an administrator, adult, or child. As an administrator, you can use the Avast Omni app to set and control various settings on the other devices connected to your household. The following parental control features are available for child profiles:
- Geo-location tracking: view the location of your child’s primary device and receive location alerts so you can check that your child is safe at all times
- Content filters: set parameters for a user profile to block all offensive or inappropriate websites and apps
- Disable internet: temporarily pause internet access for a user, either on demand or for scheduled times
