Oliver Buxton is a staff editor for Avast, who’s focused on advanced persistent threats and their social impact. Alongside his writing on the Stuxnet worm, Oliver’s work on cyberterrorism and cyberwarfare has been published in The Times, and he has written digital safeguarding policy for higher education institutions. When not at his keyboard or lost in a history book, you can find Oliver practicing photography or piloting drones.
He earned a BA from the University of Leeds and an MA in History of Warfare from King’s College London, specializing in cyberwarfare and the role of digital communications in the evolution of insurgency. Oliver also holds certificates in Introduction to Cyber Attacks and Cyber Attack Countermeasures from Coursera.
